About me, quickly
My name is Nate Bent, and I am a Network Engineer who is lucky enough to work with a wide range of technologies across some complex, public facing environments. If I had to summarize myself quickly:
I spend my days designing, implementing, and supporting multi-vendor wired and wireless networks across a portfolio of client organizations, from small businesses to school districts with tens of thousands of users. Day to day that means working across Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, and Juniper Mist, with a lot of time spent on network security, access control, and PKI.
I spend my nights playing with and learning new technologies that interest me, to name a few:
Virtualization and containerization (I run a fairly involved homelab)
Automation, specifically network automation (for obvious reasons)
AI and ML, lately focused on running models locally and experimenting with agentic AI
The latest generalized version of my resume is available in .pdf and .docx formats.
